City Managers are responsible for creating, verifying, and publishing employees’ shift schedules. The Vets uses the software platform, Sling, for scheduling employees’ work day shifts.

Procedure:

Go to the website: https://login.getsling.com/ and log in using your @thevets.com email address and associated password.

Navigate to the Schedule Page and select “+ Create shift”.

A shift window will automatically populate. Be sure to enter the following information:

  • Date and Time
  • Location
  • Market/Team Number
  • Position
  • Employee
  • Unpublish - if the schedule is tentative
  • Publish - if the schedule is final
  • To establish the schedule you created, select “Publish”

To create a scheduling template:

  • Navigate to the Schedule Page and select the icon with three (3) dots located in the top right corner.
  • Select “View Shifts” - A list of templates will automatically populate.
  • Shifts should be 10 hours to include the thirty (30) minute start and end point drive time.
  • Each scheduled shift should have one (1) DVM and one (1) Technician.
  • Save your weekly schedule as a template to ensure time efficiency.
  • New locations are to be approved by Jessica Flores and Ido Shapira.
  • Each employee should be assigned to at least one (1) group.
  • When the schedule is complete, be sure to publish it.
  •  Always verify assigned locations.
