Description:

There may be scenarios in which a relief employee cancels their scheduled shift. We work with five different relief-employee companies and the policies and protocols associated with shift cancellations vary.

Procedure:

VetIQ:

  • Mobile teams may cancel employees on Relief or per diem schedule with no fee if the cancellation is made with 30 days’ prior notice.
  • If less notice is provided, Client will be required to pay the full fees related to the canceled shift(s).

Holiday Vet:

Cancellation of confirmed work with less than 48 hours advance notice will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled day’s cost.

Relief Rover:

  • No cancellation fees from Relief Rover. Some DVMS have contracts with us about cancellation fees which range from 14 - 2 days prior to the start of shift.

Roo:

  • If a hospital cancels a weekday shift after a vet or tech has already been confirmed:
  • 6 weeks or longer before a shift – 75% refund to hospital
  • Between 4 and 6 weeks before a shift – 50% refund to hospital
  • Between 2 and 4 weeks before a shift – 25% refund to hospital
  • Less than 2 weeks before a shift – 0% refund to hospital
  • If a hospital cancels a weekend shift after a veterinarian or vet tech has already been confirmed, there will be no refund issued.

RSVP:
