Description:
City Managers are expected to fill shifts with technicians or by covering the shift as a Technician when an unexpected schedule change occurs. It is the City Manager’s
responsibility to ensure high quality patient and client care and to keep the business operations running smoothly.
Procedure:
If a Technician has called out for the day, the City Manager should utilize any techs that are not scheduled for 40 hours and will not put them into overtime.
If it is a single day call out, work with techs to move their schedule around to accommodate this call out, and work the person who has called out on another day.
- Code the absence of the employee who called-out in Justworks.
- If there are no alternative employees to cover the shift, the City Manager can cover the shift for the Technician.
