About This Course

Whether to facilitate a minor laceration repair, obtain radiographs, or perform an otoscopic examination on a fractious dog, veterinarians often rely on sedation to safely perform many clinical procedures. But with so many sedative drugs in the toolbox, how do we choose the best protocol for our patient and the intended procedure? Using a case-based approach, this webinar will review how best to utilize different drugs to produce a safe sedative experience. Because unstable pets present a unique sedative challenge, each case will feature a hemodynamic, respiratory, neurologic, or attitude challenge. Clinical pearls will ensure the learner is prepared to anticipate and address complications for different comorbidities and drug combinations.
