Ranger 1.11.x Update

This update includes multiple, highly impactful features for our teams to utilize. Please see the following detailed information and associated videos to get familiar with Ranger’s newest update.

This update is NOT backwards compatible. This means that users attempting to log in to Ranger without updating will not be able to access the system. If you are having trouble logging in please update Ranger in the Business App and try again.

Team Access

This is the largest feature included in this version of Ranger. The team access feature will allow users to log in WITHOUT a scheduled shift on Sling and select a different team to view. 

It is important to note that we do have a restriction on this access. Please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines regarding Team Access:

  1. Sling shifts still apply for medical records. Medical records will not be able to be started/updated/edited by users that are either not scheduled in Sling or not scheduled correctly in Sling. This also means that users not assigned to teams on the particular team and date being viewed will not be able to edit medical records. 
  2. All other features of Ranger are available with Team Access, including the cart.

Appointment Status Indication

We have added the appointment status to Ranger! Teams will now instantly be able to identify the status of an appointment from start to finish. The indicators are available both on the calendar screen and the appointment view screen. The following indicators will be seen:

  • Started - the session has been started, but no payment has been recorded
  • Paid - Payment has been collected in full, but the session has not been completed/finalized
  • Partially Paid (available only when Split Payments are released, TBD)
  • Completed - The session has been completed/finalized and the client has been sent all relevant documentation.

Appointments in Paid status will also see a red dot notification on the appointment view screen which alerts teams that the session still needs to be completed.

App Version Display

The app version will now display both on the login screen and the calendar screen. To view this on the calendar screen simply pull down from the top and it will appear. With this addition to Ranger, we hope to see a large reduction in app version confusion and an increase in app version update compliance.

Ranger Support

This is not available at the release of 1.11.X. This feature will be released later in the week and teams will be notified when it is available. The Ranger internal support option will allow teams to submit support tickets faster and easier as all information regarding the session will automatically be sent to the development team, meaning users will not need to post their team, client name, date of exam, etc. on the Slack support channel once this is released. Beth will still communicate with the teams via the Slack channel when further information is necessary between the submitting staff member and the development team.

Medical Guideline Price Estimation

For teams utilizing the Medical Guidelines (currently limited to select locations), you will now see the estimate of pricing on each item. This will allow teams to quote pricing without adding every item in the guideline for a final price.
